Admission & Tuition

Admission Information

The admission process at Cedars High School is fair and unbiased. The Admission Committee is guided by a policy that selects academically qualified pupils depending on available vacancies regardless of race, religion, color, gender, nationality, or political affiliation.

Admission starts with the applicants submitting an application and providing supporting documentation. Then, applicants are required to attend a screening to test their language skills, academic level and school readiness/maturity. The test consists of an oral and a written assessment and evaluates the knowledge, skills and abilities that form requisites of academic success; also, it ranks the student against other students within the same grade level. After a student completes the assessment, the screening teacher writes an evaluation report describing the student’s areas of strengths and weaknesses. The pedagogical leaders within the admission team, discuss the reports with the teachers and share them with the principal. Based on the screening, the principal decides which children are best qualified linguistically and academically. If a student doesn’t meet the admission criteria, he/she is given recommendations on what areas to improve, and, in certain feasible cases, another chance to retake the test.
